This week’s featured blogger is Sarah from The Fit Cookie & Fit Betty.
1. When/Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging in October 2011 with my blog The Fit Cookie (www.thefitcookie.com). My family has multiple food allergies, and it can be very discouraging at times trying to find good recipes that fit our diets. I worked hard at making good food we could all enjoy, and I wanted to pass my recipes on and encourage others in the same situation. I started my second blog, Fit Betty (www.fitbetty.com) in May 2012 to separate my fitness and food into 2 separate blogs. My vision for Fit Betty is similar to The Fit Cookie: I want to encourage people that being fit and healthy doesn’t have to be tedious or mind numbing – you can be healthy and fit while enjoying your life!
2. If someone could only read one of your blog posts, which would it be? Why?
3. Give us a short summary of your blog
The Fit Cookie features healthy and allergy friendly recipes. The recipes are mostly desserts, and they are gluten-free, soy and dairy free, and some are paleo and vegan, too. My fitness blog, Fit Betty, focuses on fun fitness with workouts, motivation, product reviews, exercise tutorials, and fashion stuff.
4. Brag time! What fitness accomplishment makes you the most proud?
Completing my first obstacle mud run (Survivor 2012 Colorado) and doing better at it than I expected! I’m hooked now – I want to do more!
